Camp Briar Hill has been serving the community since 1976. We are a special summer place for children ages pre-K through 5th grade. We are not a specialty camp. We emphasize fun and skills instead of competition. Our daily swim, sports, and craft programs are filled with a variety of age appropriate activities, and we have multiple special events every day.
You can learn more about us by clicking on the links above and on the right. Our camp program and tuition costs are found under the Camp dropdown menu, and many of your questions may be answered in our Frequently Asked Questions area. You can also take a virtual tour of the camp on the Facilities page under About Us. Most of all, you really need to stop by and see the camp for yourself. If you come during normal office hours, we would love to give you a tour of Briar Hill.
Our 2017 camp program runs from June 26th until August 18th. Camp is closed on Tuesday, July 4th. We offer many flexible enrollment options. You can choose to come 5 days per week, 4 days per week (Monday through Thursday), 3 days per week (either Mon, Wed, Fri OR Tues, Thurs, Fri), or 2 days per week (Tues & Thurs). You may also elect to come for less than 8 weeks. We have new activities and special events scheduled each day so there is lots of variety during the summer.
Our regular camp day starts at 9:30. Arrival time is from 9:00 to 9:25. Early arrival is available to support parent drop-off of campers as early as 7:30am. Pickup time for pre-kindergarten, kindergarten and 1st grade campers is from 3:30 to 3:55. Pickup time for 2nd grade through 5th grade campers is from 4:00 to 4:30. Camp activities for our older campers continue until the start of their 4:00 pickup time. There is flexibility in our pickup times for those families with campers in both age groups. A late pickup option is also available to support camper pickup as late as 6:00pm.
Our standard rates include a beverage for lunch, an afternoon snack, all craft and workshop supplies, accident insurance, a Camp shirt and Camp bag. Campers should bring a bag lunch (which will be refrigerated) on Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday.
We will provide lunch (pizza, hot dogs, chicken nuggets or mac ‘n cheese) with fruit juice or water, a snack, and a dessert each Thursday and Friday.
A deposit of $500 is needed with your Camp Application to reserve an opening. The balance of the camp cost is due on April 1, 2017. There are penalties for enrollment cutbacks or terminations so please think about you enrollment carefully. Camp cancellation insurance is available which provides full refunds and covers all penalties for enrollment cutbacks or terminations.
