Camp Briar Hill has been serving the community since 1976. We are a special summer place for children ages pre-K through 6th grade. We are not a specialty camp. We emphasize fun and skills instead of competition. Our daily swim, sports, and craft programs are filled with a variety of age appropriate activities, and we have multiple special events every day.
You can learn more about us by clicking on the links above and on the right. Our camp program and tuition costs are found under the Camp dropdown menu, and many of your questions may be answered in our Frequently Asked Questions area. You can also take a virtual tour of the camp on the Facilities page under About Us. Most of all, you really need to stop by and see the camp for yourself. Please feel free to call and schedule a camp tour.
Our 2018 camp program runs from June 25th until August 17th. Camp is closed on Wednesday, July 4th. We offer the most enrollment options of any area camp. You can choose to come 5 days per week, 4 days per week (Monday through Thursday), 3 days per week (either Mon, Wed, Fri OR Tues, Thurs, Fri), or 2 days per week (Tues & Thurs). You may also elect to come for less than 8 weeks. New for 2018: there is a special Mini Camper program for Pre-K campers that prefer a shorter day. We have new activities and special events scheduled each day so there is lots of variety during the summer.
Our regular camp day starts at 9:30. Arrival time for all campers is from 9:00 to 9:25. Early arrival is available to support parent drop-off of campers as early as 7:30am. Pickup time for Mini Campers (pre-K only) is from 1:30 to 1:40. Pickup time for Junior Campers (pre-K, K, and 1st grade) is from 3:30 to 3:50. Pickup time for Senior Campers (2nd through 6th grade) is from 4:00 to 4:30. Camp activities for our older campers continue until the start of their 4:00 pickup time. There is flexibility in our pickup times for those families with both Junior and Senior Campers. A late pickup option is also available to support camper pickup as late as 6:00pm.
With the exception of optional camp photos, our rates include everything so there are no surprises. New for 2018: we are providing food service with snacks and lunch 5 days per week. We also provide a camp backpack and shirt to start each summer. Please note that counselor tipping is customary at area camps and we provide a tipping guide during the summer with suggested amounts.
A deposit of $500 is needed with your Camp Application to reserve an opening. The balance of the camp cost is due in two payments on April 1, 2018 and June 1, 2018. A full refund of any deposit or payments is available until April 1, 2018. In addition, camp insurance is available to cover any costs associated with cutbacks or terminations after April 1st.
