In order to reduce congestion at arrival and pickup time, we encourage car pools. For over ten years we have been helping people join or form car pools. Car pools are the fastest and most cost effective way to get campers to and from camp. For the 2009 camp season, the entries in the following table are the amount of the rebate to each camper for each program and car pool size:

1. Each car pool must be registered with Camp Briar Hill. We will provide a registration number that must be displayed in the windshield of the car bringing or picking up campers.
2. Car pool families that do not observe the requested pickup times for their car pool jeopardize their refund. The refund may be reduced for each day that the requested time is not observed.
3. The refund will be paid to each camper in the registered car pool according to the table above. For example, in a 5 person car pool for 5 days per week for 8 weeks, each camper would receive a $200 refund for a total of $1,000 for that car pool. Families with more than one camper at Briar Hill qualify as a car pool.
4. Pickup time for pre kindergarten through 1st grade campers is from 3:30 to 3:55. Pickup time for 2nd grader through 4th grade campers is from 4:00 to 4:30. If your car pool contains campers from both groups, your pickup time is from 4:00 to 4:30.
5. The car pool must be maintained for the entire enrollment period in order to qualify for the refund. All campers in the car pool must have the same camp enrollment to make this program easier to administer.
6. Camp Briar Hill will randomly check the number of campers in each car pool. If the number of campers is less than stated in the car pool registration agreement, the refund will be based upon the number of campers actually using the car pool.
7. The full tuition must be paid at the normal time. Car pool refunds are typically mailed between Sept. 1st and Sept. 15th.
