Briar Hill is an education oriented preschool. First and second year classes are available to best meet the needs of each child. Classrooms have a wide variety of teaching materials and are staffed with a certified nursery school teacher and an assistant. Children in full day classes should bring a bag lunch. We will refrigerate the lunch and provide fruit juice. There is a 10 minute period before and after each class for arrival and dismissal.

AM classes meet from 9:15 to 11:45. There is a lunch bunch group that can be combined with any AM or PM class. PM classes meet from 12:45 to 3:15. Full day classes meet from 9:30 to 2:30 and include a required NJ rest period.

Early Arrival

Our early arrival group allows you to bring your child at 8:00 AM. The classroom is supervised by our regular classroom staff.

Lunch Program

Our “Lunch Bunch” group can be combined with any AM or PM class. You provide a brown bag lunch, we provide a fruit juice drink. PM children can join the group at 12pm. AM children must be picked up by 12:30 to make room for arriving PM students.

Late Pickup Option

Our late pickup group takes care of your child until 4:00pm. This option solves conflicts with siblings coming home on a school bus. The classroom is supervised by our regular classroom staff.

Our second year programs are intended for students who will be attending kndergarten the following year. First year classes are designed for children that will spend two years in nursery school. In general, 1st year students must be 3 years old by Oct 1st, 2012. Three day per week classes meet on Monday, Wednesday, and Friday. Two day per week classes meet on Tuesday and Thursday. Tuition rates are based upon a school year of 180 school days. There is a $30 non-refundable Enrollment Fee. No deductions are allowed for school days missed due to sickness, personal vacation, etc.

If we do not meet your expectations or needs, an enrollment may be terminated at any time with a written notice to the Director. There are no penalties. The tuition cost will be prorated to the last day the child is enrolled. There are no additional charges for special projects, supplies, etc. The only optional expense is a school picture package. School closings due to bad weather will not be made up, unless your child’s class misses more than four school days. If Briar Hill School is closed for any other reason, the school year will be extended to make up the lost days.
